Manna Outreach Ministries (M.O.M. Inc.) is a nonprofit, interdenominational organization consisting of churches, civic organizations, businesses, and individuals, with a commitment to make their communities a better place to live. We are a Christ centered ministry, whose purpose is to use biblical principles in all we do. Jesus taught us in the scriptures “to love our neighbor as ourselves” and “that faith without works is dead”. In a small way, we are fulfilling those principles through Manna.  Our philosophy of ministry is team oriented. We realize that alone, we are limited in our abilities but together we can accomplish great things. Each member brings many skills, which enable Manna to effectively influence their communities. Our vision is to train, equip, and empower everyday people to accomplish awesome life changing experiences through teamwork. As the needs of our local communities grows, so does the opportunities for creative community minded people to unite and meet those needs. One of Manna’s primary purposes is to facilitate the bringing together of communities to change for the better.
A central part of Manna is through an outreach to assist individuals and communities with their ever-growing food costs. As rising food costs, escalating fuel prices, and a slowing economy strain many families’ budgets, Manna has developed a program called Manna Foods, to enable individuals and families to get through these trying times. Currently we are providing food budget relief to families in five counties and over twenty-five area communities in Ohio and Indiana, touching literally hundreds of lives. Family members, friends and co-workers are enthusiastically sharing the economic savings of Manna Foods. Each month, Manna Foods continues to touch many more lives through their food program. Our goal is to impact individuals, families, and communities across NW Ohio and NE Indiana, by collaborating and pooling our resources and personnel together to multiply our effectiveness.
Individuals and families across the area pre-order a basic box of quality food for only $30.00. The average retail value of a box of Manna Foods is approximately $60.00. In addition, a number of specialty boxes (steaks, chicken, seniors and kids boxes) can be purchased. The food in each box is top quality, not distressed or outdated food items. By ordering directly from a wholesale supplier and distributing the food through our dedicated volunteer program, we are able to pass on volume purchasing power to area communities. A basic box will feed a family of four for a week or a senior citizen for a month. To place an order, people will need to pre-order and pre-pay by the monthly order date. You will be able to pick up your order usually on the last Saturday of the month, at a local distribution site. On “D” Day (distribution day), dedicated volunteers enthusiastically disperse tons of quality food to area individuals and families. Our motto is “having fun helping others”. We accept checks, money orders and food stamps through the U.S. Food Stamp Program and credit cards for payment through the Manna Outreach Ministries website . For more information, or to place an order, please call 419-238-2788 or 419-238-5813.
